Hi there!
We’re a group of passionate high school students who believe that everyone deserves access to light—no matter where they live. Our team is working to design and distribute solar-powered flashlights to children and families in underserved communities without reliable electricity.
Did you know that over 600 million people in Africa alone lack access to electricity? In these areas, when the sun sets, studying, working, or even walking outside becomes nearly impossible. Worse, many rely on dangerous and expensive kerosene lamps, which cause respiratory illnesses and devastating fires.
That’s where our project, Flash Forward, comes in. Our solar-powered flashlights are:
Affordable: Designed to be cost-effective, so we can reach more people.
Durable: Built to withstand rain, dust, and high temperatures.
Life-Changing: They provide safe, reliable light for studying, walking at night, and protecting against wildlife or accidents.
How You Can Help
We’re currently raising funds to create prototypes of our flashlight and begin small-scale distribution. Your donation will help us purchase the materials needed for:
- Compact solar panels
- High-efficiency LEDs
- Rechargeable batteries
- Weather-resistant casings
Every dollar brings us closer to our goal of creating a brighter future for those in need.
Why We Need You
As high school students, we don’t yet have the resources of an established nonprofit. That’s why we’re turning to generous individuals like you. By donating, you’re helping us light up the lives of children, women, and families in rural areas where light is a rare and precious resource.
Thank you for believing in us and our mission. Together, we can bring light to the darkest corners of the world.
