Flash Flood Relief for Jess, Josh and Baby Z
Donation protected
It weighs heavily on our hearts to share the story of our close friends, Jess, Josh, and their 7-week-old baby boy, Z. In the early hours of Saturday, July 5th, their lives were turned upside down when flash floods swept through their home in Leander, TX, destroying everything in it’s path.
At 2 a.m. they acted quickly to get themselves, their newborn, Jess’s mother and two of their four beloved pets to safety. As the floodwaters rose rapidly, blocking both the front and back doors, they were forced to climb out of a bathroom window to escape — with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
The following morning, they returned to search for the two cats left behind. Thankfully, they were able to rescue one and are still searching for the other.
The damage left behind is heartbreaking. Their home, the space they worked so hard to create for their new family has been completely destroyed. Clothes, furniture, baby essentials, and cherished keepsakes… all gone.
While we are beyond grateful that they are safe, Jess, Josh, and baby Z are now facing the overwhelming task of starting over with nothing. They urgently need help securing temporary housing, replacing basic necessities, and beginning the long road to recovery.
Jess and Josh are the kind of people who show up for others—now it's time for us to show up for them. Every donation, no matter how small, will help them recover the essentials: baby supplies, clothing, pet care, temporary housing, and the long road ahead of rebuilding.
If you're not in a position to give, please consider sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help. Let's lift them up in this moment of heartbreak and uncertainty.
Thank you for your support.
