Dear Friends and Family,

It seems that after this past summer the three letters of ALS are ingrained in all of our memories. I myself like many others wasn't aware of this progressive neurodegenerative disease and the effects it has on everyone surrounding it.  A quick Google search and the information at hand seems dismally bleak, even in a Biological Psychology class the prognosis means, as my professor put it, "A death sentence." 

So what's the point?

I want to introduce my uncle, Flamur Jonuzi, who like all people that are diagnosed with ALS was given a few years at best to live, as fast deterrioration of his motor neurons would lead to total muscle loss. Does this derail him from life? Not at all.

Never have I ever seen anyone more present in life. The love and kindess he has for everyone around him is absolutely heroic.  Every weekend it seems like there's a barbeque, festival, sporting event or weekend brunch  he and his family are attending.  I'm awed and amazed at the strength of this family. 



This fundraiser is to procure funds to finance a new developing treatment via stem cells. This treatment is offered in Israel and several other centers in the US.
I want to invite anyone to donate anything they are able to for this cause.
