From Flames to Hope: Lahaina Survivors' Fund
Donation protected
**REBUILDING FROM THE ASHES**
Aloha Friends and Family,
On August 8, 2023, the whole world watched in horror as merciless wildfires decimated the historic town of Lahaina, Maui. That day forever changed the lives of countless souls as families, homes, and the future of our keiki were consumed by the flames in mere moments.
My beloved mother, Harrilyn Robello who was a resident of Wainee Street, found herself in the heart of this nightmare. With no advance warning and just seconds to spare, she fled their burning complex, leaving behind years of possessions and cherished memories. While we are profoundly grateful they escaped, the raging flames spared nothing she owned. Her home, once a sanctuary, is now sadly reduced to ashes.
Though many have generously donated millions to survivors, the funds often pass through various non-profits. Survivors then face the challenge of applying and qualifying for aid. My mom has registered with FEMA and other programs but, to date, have received no financial support. It's why with heavy a heart that I ask for your support. Every donation, regardless of size, will be invaluable in helping my mom rebuild and find a new place to call home.
Your love, prayers, and support during these challenging times have been a beacon of hope for our ohana and our community. While our hearts swell with gratitude for my mom's safety, I also send out thoughts and prayers to everyone affected from the aftermath. Let's unite in supporting those broken by this tragedy.
Big mahalo for your kindness and generosity! ~Jonna
