Flamenco Float for the NYC Dance Parade 2022

Hola! My company, Xianix Barrera Flamenco, is raising funds to participate in the upcoming NYC Dance Parade with the only flamenco float! The NYC Dance Parade is an all-day event that promotes dance as an expressive and unifying art form by showcasing dozens of dance styles down Broadway and culminating with a dance festival held in Tompkins Square Park.
XBF has been a part of the Dance Parade for over a decade, and this is the second time we represent flamenco dance with a float. We have generously received a $1,000 sponsorship from Rifka Richter (¡gracias!), and our goal is to fundraise another $3500 to fund the float. This year's parade is an incredible opportunity for our flamenco community to go "back to the streets" for the first time since 2019 to represent flamenco in the best way we know how, loudly, and proudly!
We invite the flamenco community in the tri-state area to join us and get involved in two ways: the first is by joining us along the parade route dressed in your best flamenco attire to dance, clap and sing to your heart's content, and by your generous donation to fund the float.
