Hello! I’m Flaco’s mom and I’m asking for help to cover the medical costs for my sweet baby’s gallbladder surgery. A couple of days ago, he became very ill and had to be hospitalized. Flaco is a happy dog and a very good boy; he needs another chance to play, go for a walk and eat his favorite treats. The amount his treatment costs is way out of my means and therefore I’m hoping for a little help from anyone who can. I greatly appreciate whatever can be given whether it be donations, prayers or just sharing this link. May you all have blessed holidays.

Update: Flaco had his gallbladder removed but has had some complications and is still recovering in the hospital. I know he wants to be home just as much as I want him home. Not to mention, each day in the hospital costs over $1,000. As you can see, we can still use some help. I’m so grateful for those who have already donated and shared. You all have reminded me that I’m not alone in this and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

NewUpdate: Great news! Flaco is doing very well now, thank goodness! He is running and jumping around; he’s playing with his toys and enjoying his healthy meals! And he is healing very well from his surgery. Thank you everyone for your support. The total expenses thus far have exceeded $19,700. I know that’s a lot and some people think I’m crazy for paying that much for “just a dog” but Flaco is a very special part of my life and deserves the unconditional love returned to him. I will have to penny pinch for a while until I pay off my debts so I graciously continue to accept donations.

I will say that I learned a lot from this. I do feel that every penny was worth it but I do think that the cost was outrageous and unfair. I know this is true not just for vet cost but in our healthcare system for ourselves here in America. yes, they treated him well and saved his life but in the future I will go to a different pet hospital and I will have insurance. My hopes is not to ever have to go through this again but next time, I will be better prepared.
