My name is Haneen Soud, and I'm a Palestinian living in Canada, desperately seeking assistance to evacuate my family (including my parents and 2 disabled children) from the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

The situation is dire, and we're reaching out for your kindness, support, and generosity during this incredibly difficult and painful time. I am an unemployed single mother living in Canada. I wish I could be in a better financial position to help my family leave, but I do not have the funds.

Two of my sisters have tragically lost their homes, leaving them and their children with nowhere to seek refuge. In Northern Gaza, my sister, her husband and three children are desperate for food and medicine with very little aid entering the strip.

As of now, just to cross the Rafah border, each adult family member has to pay $9000 USD. For children leaving with their mother the total cost is $9500 USD.

This amount is only to help them get from one side of the Rafah border into Egypt. This does not include any food, medicine, transportation, accommodation.

The total amount to help my family cross the Rafah border is $54,000 USD ($73,300 CAD).

The remaining funds will be used to provide food, medicine, and accommodation for my family members while they are in Egypt, and for their transportation to either Canada or Turkey (depending on which Visa is accepted first).

The b*mbing in Deir Al Balah where my family is staying has recently intensified, and I am extremely worried about their safety. Your donations will help my family escape the horrific violence and find safety and access necessary treatment. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a profound difference in our lives.
