Saludos, mi nombre es Xiomara López y hoy vengo con el corazón en la mano a pedir su solidaridad para mi sobrino, Alexis José Torres. Alexis es un venezolano de 48 años, un hombre luchador, con dos carreras universitarias, siempre dedicado a su trabajo y su familia. Es el pilar de un hogar lleno de amor, donde vive con su esposa y su adorable hija de 11 años, para quien es su héroe.

Hace casi tres meses, nuestra familia recibió la noticia que nadie esperaba: a Alexis le diagnosticaron Carcinoma de Células Escamosas en la Base de la Lengua (Cáncer), un diagnóstico que cambió todo.

Sin embargo, hay esperanza. Los médicos han indicado que necesita con urgencia un tratamiento agresivo para ganar esta batalla. El plan es claro: 38 sesiones de radioterapia y el primer ciclo de quimioterapia.

Lamentablemente, en nuestra Venezuela, el costo de estos tratamientos es inalcanzable para la mayoría. Por eso, acudimos a la bondad de sus corazones. Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, nos acerca al objetivo de salvar su vida, de que esa niña de 11 años pueda seguir abrazando a su padre.
