Help St. Elizabeth, Jamaica Rebuild After Hurricane
0% complete
$2,470 raised of
15 donations
My name is Nicky Sheriff, and I’m from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica; a beautiful, hardworking city known for its kindness, resilience, and deep sense of community. Though I’ve proudly called Nantucket home for the past ten years, my heart will always belong to Jamaica, especially the community that raised me.
Today, my hometown and neighboring districts are in crisis. The recent hurricane has devastated much of St. Elizabeth; homes have been destroyed, roads are impassable, farms have been washed out, and families are struggling to meet even their most basic needs. Many have lost everything: their crops, livestock, and, in some heartbreaking cases, their homes.
It breaks my heart to see the place that shaped me enduring such hardship.
Your donations will go toward:
Emergency food, clean water, and hygiene supplies
Medical aid and essential items for those most affected
Every dollar raised will go directly to the people of St. Elizabeth. I will personally be traveling back to Jamaica to help deliver supplies and ensure your support reaches those in greatest need. Communities like Santa Cruz, Black River, Leeds, and other surrounding areas have been severely impacted.
If you’re not able to donate money, I am also accepting clothing items, towels, flashlights and hygiene products to send to affected families. Please reach out to me directly if you’d like to contribute in that way.
St. Elizabeth has always been a place where neighbors help neighbors, a community built on love, hard work, and unity. With your help, we can make sure no one faces this recovery alone.
Please donate whatever you can and share this campaign to spread the word. Together, we can help St. Elizabeth rebuild and rise again.
With love and gratitude,
Nicky Sheriff
