Hey Everyone!

For the month of July I would like to plead for your help to accomplish a goal of mine . For those of you who know me, I am a big advocate for mental health and suicide prevention. I’ve had the unfortunate circumstances of losing WAY too many people to preventable deaths. Whether it’s been an addiction to drugs/alcohol or depression/suicidal tendencies leading to an impulsive, irreversible mistake.  Over the past 8 years, I've seen too much of it. With the extraordinary amount of loss I’ve experienced, I’ve turned my passion to advocating, educating and preventing those that I can from a path that they WILL regret.

With that being said I am asking desperately you consider assisting me to reach not only a goal for me but a goal that should be for everyone. To overcome the stigma on mental health, educate yourself on what you can do/what is going on and help fund-raise to help implement better research and prevention methods for those who need it most. I will be raising money all of July to assist in fundraising for the AMERICAN FOUNDATION FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION (AFSP). This has been an organization I've had the privilege to work/volunteer with since 2010, the year I first found out what tolls a suicide can take on those left behind.

With the help of you and your generous donations, I am hoping to raise an amount of 2,200 (22 for the number of veterans who commit suicide per day). If you aren’t in a financial place to assist in any way, please consider forwarding this or informing a friend about it. Any donation will make a difference.

-Mental Health America reports that 56 percent of adults in the U.S. with a mental illness don’t receive treatment.
-Of the adults who were left untreated, 50 percent reported the inability to pay for the high costs.
-Depression among youth is on the rise from 8.5 percent in 2011 to 11.1 percent in 2014.
-64.1 percent of adolescents facing major depression don’t receive treatment.
-The second leading cause of death for people ages 15 to 29 is suicide.
-Nationally, for every 529 individuals, there is only one mental health provider.

Thank you in advance for your generous support! As always, You MATTER! You are LOVED.
