On September 24th, Landon Mathies, a sixteen-year-old sophomore at Loogootee High School, was involved in a severe four-wheeler accident. Landon had to be life-lined to Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, where he underwent surgery in an attempt to repair several cervical vertebrae. It was also determined that Landon had a bruised brain stem, a punctured lung, and two broken wrists. Landon has since been air transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital to receive additional specialized care. Landon's family has been right by his side since this horrific accident and the outpouring of support has been uplifting and greatly appreciated! The support from family, friends, local and surrounding school and church communities, has helped the Mathies family navigate through these extremely challenging times.
Landon and his family have a long road to recovery. I am setting up this Go Fund Me in an effort to assist Landon's family in a small way with medical bills, travel to and from the hospital, food, and time away from work. If you can, please donate to this beautiful family and help ease the burdens associated with this tragic accident, it would be greatly appreciated! If you are unable to donate, all we are asking for is your daily prayers for strength and healing for Landon and his family! The power of prayer is unimaginable! God is Good! #LandonStrong
