In memory of Margaret

It is with tremendous sadness that we learned that Margaret Kwami, our much loved chef who worked at St. Margaret's School in Hampstead for many years, passed away last week.

 

Margaret was one of the most popular, most generous, most thoughtful and considerate people most of us have ever met. Her good humour and warm smile meant that she very quickly became far more to the girls (and many of the parents) at St. Margaret's than just someone who provided their lunches. Although she "retired" a few years ago, finding the the combination of the 3-hour-round-trip journey to school and bringing up four young children too demanding, her return visits saw her mobbed like a visiting pop star rather than a chef. She could always be relied on for a huge smile and a warm hug.

 

Margaret leaves behind her four children and her husband, and we wanted to set up this gofundme page in order to help them as they navigate this impossible time, without their sweet Mama and Wife. We will miss you Margaret. You were a star.
