IN SHORT
A couple of months ago I had no money, no house and no job. Not being able to get my life back on track the regular way, I decided to build a yurt from scratch to be able to sustain myself. Once finished, it will serve as workspace for the business I recently started.
It is has been an extraordinary ride since.. 

Here is the somewhat longer story:
THE YURT
This handmade yurt will be built with natural and leftover materials. With the help of almost 25 volunteers, I spent the past 6 months collecting and preparing branches, wool and so on (Pictures!). I am now ready for the construction phase.
The location of the yurt is a beautiful spot at De Helleborus , a place built on the principles of permaculture. The agreement I have with them is no exception: instead of paying rent for the use of their facilities, I give a percentage of the income I receive from my business. It's a win-win situation.

THE BUSINESS
Once the yurt is finished, I can launch my business Wijzemoer . My field of expertise is that of love, body, sex & gender. My work will focus on reconnecting women to their natural rythms through workshops, trainings and ceremonies. Besides using the yurt for my own business, I also offer it for rent as workshop accommodation as well as for lodging.  

WHY I NEED YOUR MONEY
There are two key elements to the yurt that can not be found in nature and that need to be of good quality: the canvas and the fireplace. That's where you come in.
