Help bring Diane home!

Our dear friend, Diane Papoutsis Moul, has been suffering for quite some time now. Diane has been bedridden for the last 9 months and can no longer stand or walk. To complicate matters, she is also incontinent. On December 26, 2022, last year, Diane was rushed to Hanover Hospital, where she remained for 218 days. From there, she was sent to a nursing home on July 30, 2023, more than two hours away from friends and family, where she stayed for another 20 days. After being discharged to her home on August 19, 2023, Diane was returned to Hanover Hospital ER less than 30 hours later. Since then, for 9 days, she has remained in Hanover Hospital. She will be discharged to her home again, on Monday, August 28, 2023. Her cousin, Billy Kavalos, and her husband, Kelby, have been working very hard to get all her supports in place. What Diane needs now is YOU.
All Diane really wants is her independence. She wants to live freely in the community and have her significant medical needs taken care of in the comfort of her home. As most of you probably realize, that kind of support is extremely expensive. We are hoping to gather enough money to be able to help Diane sustain the services she needs until she is strong enough to be able to walk again – and to be able to care more for herself. That is her goal.
Diane’s faith is strong, and she has always put her life in God’s hands. Now is the time when she needs to rely on her community as well. God has put us – her friends, family, acquaintances, neighbors, fellow parishioners – in her orbit to help her. (Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens…”)
Everyone who knows her knows Diane has a very big heart. Please look deep into your own and do what you can. Every little bit helps… THANK YOU.
This go fund me was created for the sole purpose of paying for Diane's medical care, supplies, and equipment. It is designated for that purpose alone.
These are items needed, some on a monthly basis: Bed pads, adult briefs, braces/supports, transfer equipment (Hoyer lift preferable), wound care supplies (bandages, cream, wraps, etc.), inflatable in-bed bath equipment, inflatable in-bed shampoo equipment, gloves, etc.
Thank you and be well.
