In loving memory of Daniel my beautiful, sweet son
Donation protected
My loving middle son Daniel suffered a massive stroke and died unexpectedly at his new studio in the company of his loving and constant companion of the last 6 years, his husky Meize.
Daniel had just moved to South Dakota to try to make it being away for the next 6 months. Sadly he was found unresponsive Monday after a wellness check was requested on him.
He had been feeling under the weather for quite sometime, but as any young man he thought he would beat it on it's own, on his last email he mentions if I'm this bad in the morning I'll go in tomorrow, sadly he left us that night.
He was looking forward to his new job he was starting this week and experiencing a new town with Maize. They had previously stayed in Billings where although being extremely dangerous and challenging for both of them, he held several jobs until he decided to move to a safer place like SFalls.
The autopsy revealed the massive stroke, was caused by 3 masses that put pressure on his brain.
Unbeknownst to all of us, he had been battling an acute case of leukemia that it was revealed to us by the autopsy. The coroner estimates might've started back in August in Billings. He was sick on and off all these months and the findings showed cancer had spread to all his organs.
I never thought that I would be asking for help here.
Saying his siblings and I are devastated and in complete disbelief is an understatement.
We hurt knowing we will never see him again and the pain to learn he was sick and died alone in a foreign town, haunts me. I don't know how I will make it without him in my life.
Your help will be used to pay for his flight to bring him home to CO, the payment to 2 funeral homes, the one in Sioux Falls and Littleton, and finally to get his final resting place where he'd loved to be.
UPDATE
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone who has donated.
Our Daniel was transported to CO and we were able to visit him at his arrival last week. We are still in shock dealing with his loss.
We would have never guessed how expensive funeral charges are. I really don't know how I would had had been able to cover transport to bring him home without your help.
I know he's proud of what we have accomplished.
Thanks again!
