Support Jeff Ray’s Journey to Recovery

Dear Family, Friends, Co-workers and kind-hearted individuals. On behalf of Chassidy and Family.

We are reaching out to you today to share the story of our incredible friend, Jeff Ray, who recently underwent a life-altering brain surgery and is continuing to fight. We are starting this GoFundMe campaign to rally support and provide financial assistance during his road to recovery.

On Sunday September 24th around 9pm Jeff was with his loving Wife Chassidy after getting their two boys to bed. He told her he thinks he might be having a stroke. Jeff as an OR Charge Nurse at Banner Thunderbird Hospital knew something was wrong. Chassidy immediately called the paramedics and they took him to the hospital. Chassidy was informed he needed emergency brain surgery. He was then air lifted to Banner Thunderbird where they rushed him into surgery. Surgery was successful and they removed a 9cm Hematoma from the right side of his brain. He is in the ICU now resting and we will know more next week of what the projected future might look like.

As you could understand this has been absolutely devastating for Chassidy, his Family, friends and everyone close to him. When he wakes from his Coma the road ahead is unknown but will be challenging no matter what. It will take time, effort, and resources for him and them as a family to regain their strength and return to as normal life as they can. We are hoping and praying for a miracle, that this strong, young healthy Man will come out of this with minimal long term effects. We are so thankful he is under the care of his fellow Co-workers/ friends at Banner Thunderbird where they have been prompt, supportive and have taken amazing care of him, giving him a fighting chance!

Those who don’t know him, Jeff is the epitome of what a Husband, Father, Son, Brother, friend and co-worker is. He is an incredible Man who is always there for others, offering a helping hand and a warm heart. He loves his Family more than anything and does everything he can to provide the best life for them. He is such a fun, loving person and always makes everyone he is around happy, smile and especially laugh!

The recovery process will be challenging, both physically and emotionally. Jeff will require extensive medical care, including rehabilitation, therapy sessions, and ongoing medical assessments.

As you can imagine, the costs associated with medical treatments, medications, and ongoing care can quickly become overwhelming. Furthermore, the inability to work during this time and the recovery period adds an additional financial strain and Jeff is the sole provider for his family. We want to ensure that Jeff can focus solely on his recovery and Chassidy can focus on helping him and take care of the boys without worrying about the financial burden that comes with it.
