GabbyStrong

Gabby was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma on October 10th. She started intense treatment at the end of October. After the first 4 treatment days she started to have intense pain in her belly, so being neutropenic she was admitted to the hospital for monitoring. That night the pain would not subside and by the morning Gabby went into severe septic shock and was put on life support. After working so hard she was finally able to move to the step down oncology unit. After a few weeks there she had an emergency surgery and is fighting hard again now. Over the past couple weeks Gabby has had surgery after surgery and this continues. She has been through so much but she's the strongest 13 year old we know. 

This diagnosis and the complications from her body's response to treatment have been much more difficult for Gabby and her family than they ever imagined. Gabby has had to stop going to school and has been in the hospital since the beginning of November. We are hopeful for a full recovery from this huge hurdle, but after that she will have to fight cancer. No one should have to endure what she has, but we know that her story will impact many lives in the years to come. Thanks for helping the Galino's  in this tangible way. There will be many financial needs as the months continue as Jeff and Alicia are constantly needed by Gabby's side to support and encourage her.
