Dancing to the "BEAT" AED Awareness

"CPR saved my daughter Meghan's life. Danielle Drouin never thought twice about giving her the life saving CPR she needed and for that, we are forever grateful that Meghan Dadiego was in the presence of angels that night. It is nothing short of a miracle that Danielle Drouin was given the knowledge and energy to perform CPR for 10 minutes until the paramedics arrived. She is a true hero!!! God is great!!!" - David Dadiego, Father of Meghan Dadiego, Dancer at Drouin Dance Center
Privately owned dance studios are not required to be CPR certified or equiped with an AED device, unlike schools, athletic coaches, and medical facilities. So commonly we associate cardiac instances with the older population and we neglect to consider the effects that this may also have on our own children and young adults when they are particpating in activities outside the required areas of certification. We do not stop and think what would happen if our own child or family member had a cardiac emergency that would require such immediate attention. Experiencing this first hand puts a whole new perspective on the importance of bringing awareness to organizations who are not state mandated or required to be CPR certified or have an AED device.
Meghan, age 13, a competive dancer with Drouin Dance Center, was victim to such Cardiac arrest. Drouin Dance Center, Dancers, Families, and Friends would like to bring awareness and raise funds to purchase an AED machine for our Dance Center.
David Dadiego, Father of Meghan, will match funds donated to this event.
