UPDATE: 09/12/2025
Hello everyone! My brother Jesse had surgery 2 weeks ago. Recovery from surgery has been hard on him, but he is getting through it. He had his post surgery appointment yesterday where doctors said healing is going well. Doctors have him in a boot for the next few months of recovery! They were finally able to head back home to Spring!! My brother will be able to finish off his recovery and start his physical therapy at home.
UPDATE: Hello, my brother Jesse had an appointment today 08/22/2025. He received the green light for surgery! Doctors had said his foot was still too swollen prior to this appointment. We are thankful for some good news. Surgery is scheduled for Monday 08/25. He will be in the hospital for a few days after surgery and will then be able to go home and begin the recovery process. Please keep him in your prayers that surgery goes smooth and his recovery process goes well. Thank you for all the love, prayers, and donations you have given our brother in this time!
Hello everyone, my name is Alma, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother, Jr — though most of you know him as Jesse.
This past Sunday afternoon, Jesse was helping our parents repair a carport that had been destroyed by the strong windstorms earlier this year. Even though he lives in Houston, every chance he got to visit Stephenville, he would help our Dad with it.
While working 18 feet up on the carport, Jesse slipped and fell onto the concrete floor below. His wife, Faviola, rushed him to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville. After X-rays, the doctors decided he needed to be transferred to a larger hospital in Fort Worth for more specialized care.
After speaking with the orthopedic surgeon and Physical Therapist we learned:
• He has broken his tibia and talus, with additional damage to his heel bone.
• He will have rods, plates, and screws in place until surgery, which is scheduled two weeks from now.
• He and his wife will need to stay close to the hospital in Fort Worth during this time.
• Recovery will be a long road: about 4 months before starting physical therapy, and 12–18 months before full strength and mobility
Jesse is the sole provider for his family of five. This unexpected accident means he will be out of work for an extended period, and the financial strain on top of the emotional and physical toll will be overwhelming.
For all prayer warriors that read this we ask that you keep him in your prayer. We ask for Physical, Mental, and Emotional healing. We are so thankful to God that Jesse is alive and talking. With the help of God, Doctors and the support of friends and family, we believe he will make a full recovery.
If you are able, please consider donating to help them cover living expenses, travel, and medical costs. No amount is too small, and every prayer, share, and donation means the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, well wishes, and prayers.
