On Friday, March 27th, 2020, a storm system moved through central Oklahoma. During this storm, a lightning bolt struck my family's home and set the entire garage on fire. The fire moved through the attic of the entire house causing most of our possession's to either be destroyed by the flames, or damaged by water and smoke.
This is not the first time our family has been in contact with lightning. In September 1999, Robert and Alyce Phillips were struck by lightning at the state fairgrounds. Both were thrown 10ft in the air and knocked out by the strike. Since then, both have been dealing with several medical related issues due to the lightning strike.
We have created the Gofundme to help support them in their time of need. The money will go towards helping them with their day to day expenses while working with the insurance company to get back on their feet. This will also go towards providing them with new clothing since most of their clothing was lost in the fire.
Anything you can do helps and we are eternally grateful for any assistance you can provide during this difficult time.
