James and Rebecca Greer Relief Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my two siblings and I (Kyle, Ryan and Kelci) are starting this fund because,
over the last few years the struggle with our mothers health has been up and down. It was diagnosed as Sorosis of the liver, but she has always had Chronic stomach pain. Recently the pain and suffering has become more extreme, and to say the least, unbearable. It's been not only an emotional roller coaster for the entire family, but very scary, because it has become very real. Her husband Jamie (our father) left the family business behind, and has been staying in Boston for the last two months to be by her side in the hospital as much as possible. Juggling the business as well as being there for her has been very stressful and overwhelming. In the last couple of weeks, her condition has gotten substantially worse. Our family is trying our absolute hardest to be as strong as possible during this hardship. Any and all donations will go towards medical expenses, as well as living costs for our father to be there with her for her time at Mass General such as, food, housing, traveling back and forth, etc. We're setting the goal at $1, because any donation small or large is greatly appreciated, and we thank you so much for your support in this time of need.
UPDATE:
Rebecca was transferred from General Medicine to the ICU (Intensive care unit) last night (November 3rd.) She's very sick, but in the best hands the hospital has to offer now. She has some swelling in the back of her brain possibly due to infection. The doctors did a spinal tap, and are hoping to determine the cause of the swelling. The teams involved include ICU team, neurology, neurosurgery, infectious diseases, cardiology, radiology, and medicine.
