Rally for Apalachee: Healing After Tragedy

Tax deductible
Apalachee High School in Winder, GA experienced the unimaginable on September 4, 2024, when a student opened fire on innocent bystanders. Students, staff and the community have all been devastated by the mass shooting that took 4 lives and injured 7 others that day. In attempts to continue the healing process, we are “Rallying for Rally” to join Apalachee High School as a facility dog. Rally, an 8 month old Golden Retriever, has extensive training that enables him to uniquely support humans when feeling anxious, depressed, when students may need redirection to stay on task in the classroom and so much more. Rally will become an AHS employee, serving the school community on a daily basis, and your generous donation can make this happen!

Jessica Rehberg, proud Principal of Apalachee High School says, “AHS is a large school full of wonderful people taking it day by day. We are doing wonderful things, but some days are harder than others. The pups make us smile, and sometimes, that’s all it takes to finish a tough morning, a class period, or a difficult assignment. I can’t wait to send a student to see Rally when needed, and I will need to give him a daily head scratch myself.”

Donations will go directly to Bella’s Buddies in Buffalo, Texas, the nonprofit organization that has raised, trained and housed Rally from birth. They will provide ongoing training, support and insurance for the duration of Rally’s career.

or donate via Go Fund Me. Both are tax deductible, and immensely appreciated!

Thank you for supporting the AHS community in the aftermath of such awful tragedy.
