Hi I’m Erica and I am fundraising for my mother. Last spring my mom, Mary was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma. First step was to operate, the doctors spent months going back and forth debating this surgery. Finally, around fall time, the surgery was performed and 33 radiation treatments were conducted. After this at my moms follow up she was told her cancer became more aggressive as it spread to her brain and skull. This hit our home in a way none of us were prepared for. This couldn’t be. We immediately started chemo as an attempt to stop this or at least slow it down. This again failed. This can’t be. Fast forward to winter the cancer came back to its origin resulting my mom to endure an additional surgery. This surgery resulted in 3 additional surgeries due to infection from the first. While also preventing any treatment plans.

As of last week my mom was told there is no other treatment or surgical options for her as the cancer has spread to her entire skull and down her spine.

We will not lose hope. We will not lose faith.

Now as it stands today, a clinical trial has accepted her!!!! We will continue to fight the fight and will never give up!

My mom has been the strongest warrior through this and has maintained such high spirits. I admire her more and more everyday as she has overcome so much through her life and continues to do that each day!
