From an early age, my life has been shaped by hearing loss. At just five years old, I received my first pair of hearing aids, an introduction to a world that required resilience, adaptation, and courage. Growing up, I learned to navigate challenges that many people take for granted, developing a deep sense of empathy and determination along the way.

At 19, I faced a life-altering decision to receive a cochlear implant. It was not an easy choice. It meant stepping into the unknown, weighing fear against possibility, and ultimately choosing a path that could transform how I experienced the world. That decision marked a turning point in my life, one defined by growth, strength, and a willingness to embrace change.

Throughout my journey, one constant has remained. My passion for helping others. My personal experiences have inspired me to give back in a meaningful way. Now, as I return to school to pursue a degree in audiology, I am driven by a desire to support others facing similar challenges, helping them find confidence, connection, and their own voice in the world.
