On June 15th, 40 miles outside of Las Vegas Nevada, my friend Ryan severely injured his left hand.
Ryan is a great friend of mine and loved by many. With this campaign, our goal is to support him in a successful recovery, help him with medical expenses and get him back on his hands.
Ryan joined Michael Chann and I for a journey of epic proportions to retrieve a 1983 Barth motor coach across America. As a professional auto mechanic, we would never have made it as far as we did. After numerous breakdowns and only with the help of his technical know-how, we traveled 2,095 miles from Cincinnati to Las Vegas. In an attempt to fix a faulty AC compressor, he severed his index finger and sliced through his other digits.
As an artist and auto-mechanic, Ryans hands are indispensable to his livelihood. While very lucky to have had his index reattached by a hand surgeon right after the incident, his recovery will be a long and arduous process. The prospects of a good recovery are brighter day by day but the cost of the injury continues to climb. His current costs include an ambulance ride, hand surgery, hospital stay, medication, and physical therapy. Due to the nature of his injury, Ryan is unable to work and will likely not be back on the job for another 6 months.
Let's all get together to support our friend. Any size donation helps! I'm looking forward to seeing him create new art once his recovery is complete and hope you can all be part of his recovery.
