Fixing Toby's 2 broken ACLs!
Donation protected
Toby is a cattle dog (possibly Red Collie) crossed with a Staffie, and so is a very active dog who just wants to run all day, on the beach, in the bush or at the park.
Toby's human, Rose recently learnt that Toby has not one, but two ruptured ACL (the dog equivalent). Eeek.
Sadly the energetic lad has overdone it. One leg has been injured, then in the process of favouring that leg, he has injured the other.
Now the deterioration has continued to the point where he has to have restorative surgery to overcome his pain, enable proper leg usage and restore his basic doggie happiness.
There are many vets about the place who can do dog knee surgery with varying techniques and varying costs, but after doing the research Rose has found her preferred vet surgeon that will provide the best opportunity for returning Toby to his usual active self.
The cost is $4500 per leg operation.
No 2 for 1 deals here sadly!
So, I am seeking who is interested to assist, and can chip in a bit here and there so we can crowd fund the financial sting out of fixing this joyful mutt.
Many of us have had a crumby 2020 and financial wobbles during these frustrating recent times. This one has not only been quite the blow for Toby, but is a big cost for Rose to cover at this time.
So if you can help, within your means, please do!
This page has not been setup by Rose, because asking for assistance like this is not her style. It has been setup by her partner, Leo, to help raise some contributions towards getting Toby fixed, and easing the financial burden for Rose.
This was designed to be shared among people who know Rose and Toby, (and Leo) and so hopefully that skips straight to being read as a genuine effort.
Thanks for reading, and a big thank you for considering a contribution. I know it will mean everything to Rose.
-Leo (on behalf of Toby and Rose).
