One year ago we bought a little cabin to turn into our dream home. During the autumn we started the big renovation, and as always we've hit a few bumps that made it a bit more difficult than expected.

But just a couple of weeks before Christmas we hit more than just a little bump. We realised that the roof is leaking and everytime it rains outside, it also rains inside our brand new kitchen. After many hours spent on the roof we understood that there was a lot that needed to be fixed to make it stop raining inside. We also found the unpleasant surprise of mould under the roof. We made a quick fix for the winter (covered it with a huge tarpaulin) but now the spring is here and we're taking on the huge (expensive) task of rebuilding the roof to give ourselves and our kids a safe and healthy place to live.
