Fix the Roof at Colegio Guadalupe

Donation protected
The monsoon of 2021 ruined the roofs at Colegio Guadalupe Pasionista (CGP) in Agua Prieta, Mexico. 90 middle school students are in physical jeopardy from building weakness and mold from the storms. The school itself is a bastion against all the border-town dangers you have read about: kidnapping, human trafficking,, drugs, prostitution, and street gangs. The parents of these children desperately want to keep their children protected inside the walls of the school where they remain from 6:45 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. every single day. The three Passionist Sisters who run the school are each a Mother Theresa in the full sense of what that can mean: total dedication, endless energy, and a track record of continual success academically. The children come from classes that struggle: orphans as well as the children of factory workers. These same children engage in their own works of mercy for the needy who surround them: they entertain the elderly and orphans, bring clothes to the poor, and cook food for migrants and refugees from all over Mexico and Central America.

Please help the sisters protect these children with sound buildings and a safe environment.

It will take $15,000 for materials and labor to reconstruct the roof and to replace moldy lumber, plaster, and flooring.

Thank you for helping keep a worthy school strong and and remain so for generations to come.
