Hello everyone, this is my wonderful, amazing 7 month old Doberman puppy Porsche. Unfortunately Porsche ran out into the street in front of my house yesterday and was hit by a car :(

I took her to the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Sorrento Valley here in San Diego where they did some x-ray and ultrasound imaging and confirmed that she has a fractured femur in her back left thigh. Fortunately she is otherwise ok and in stable condition for the time being on pain, antibiotic, and anti-inflamatory medications.

However, in order to stabilize and repair Porsche's broken femur she will need surgery as soon as possible to save her from losing the leg. The doctor advised me that this surgery will cost roughly 8 thousand dollars and must be paid up front.

My goal here is to raise roughly $5,000, in addition to a grant that I am applying for with the San Diego FACE foundation for pets that should be enough to ensure that I am able to pay for the surgery for Porsche next week.
