Hi I`m Naya, a 1 year old disabled dog from SARA rescue in Agadir Morocco. 2 lovely people from England came to visit and fell in love with me. I now live in Wirral, England and I`m hoping the lovely vet can fix my front legs and help me walk again after I was hit by a car in Morocco.
Please share the love, Naya xx
When we met Naya she was living with around 300 dogs and we knew we just couldn`t leave her there, so we planned to head back and do the 5000 mile round trip to drive to Morrocco to collect her, we knew we could enhance her life if we brought her to the UK.
She was hit by a car at 5 months old in Morocco and taken to a vet to have her broken right leg pinned, unfortunately as she was grew it was apparent the pin had failed and her left front leg was damaged in some way as well, she uses her back legs to move about but can`t manage on a lead walk like our other dogs and just watches them as they run about playing.
We would love nothing more than seeing her back on her feet enjoying life and just being a dog, this may all be possible with a CT scan and the work of a specialist surgeon to reshape the bone, refit the elbow and plate the fracture, the right leg still hasn`t healed and from recent xrays there is a non healing fracture with a very poor pin in place, a twisted bone that doesn`t sit correctly in the elbow socket and some deformed bone, the other leg looks like it may have nerve damage and thats why she can`t use it, this will be determined with tests before any treatment.
As you can imagine this treatment is costly and we have had some lovely people approach us (after meeting Naya and seeing what a beautiful, happy soul she is) to set up a Go fund me page so they can offer their support, whether you share or donate thank you so much for reading.
