Please Help Nash Get the Surgery He Deserves

Last August, we found a tiny stray kitten crying from a bush here at Bandits Dog Town.

He was very small so we kept him safe for the day. That evening I took him to the vets and sadly he wasn’t microchipped so we were unable to return to his owners. After weeks of advertising, looking through missing pet posts, no-one claimed Nash, so Bandit I and adopted him and he became part of the Bandits Dog Town family.

After a month or so I noticed an issue with his legs, unable to walk, lots of shuffling on his bottom. and after multiple vet visits, we’ve learned that Nash needs double knee surgery to fix his condition, Luxating Patella (in both knees) and give him proper mobility.

We also learnt that he was in fact around 6 months old, not 3 months which we thought due to how tiny he was.

Without the surgery, he’ll continue to struggle, be in discomfort and be at high risk of developing arthritis.

Sadly, the treatment cost is very high, and although he in insured, the insurance will not cover everything.

I’m reaching out to ask for help in giving Nash the life he deserves.

It’s heartbreaking to think, but it’s very likely Nash was abandoned because of these issues. Although found at work, we are right next to an animal sanctuary. We believe he was likely left here due to his knee issues.

Nash has completely stolen my heart and those of everyone who has met him. Despite everything, he is full of love, curiosity, and determination. He LOVES cuddles, is super affectionate, waking up every morning with a gentle paw to my face or a chin nibble, and he trusts in a way that’s nothing short of incredible. He truly deserves the chance to live a happy, pain-free life. To say this cat chose me and Bandit to be his family, would be an understatement.
