I am hoping to raise funds for my mom’s baby chick Gigi, who was born with a deformed leg and needs surgery to put it back in the right direction. Her one leg is completely backwards and she cannot walk, so she is mostly confined to a basket. As you can see as well, because she drags herself along to move and has had her legs wrapped, her feather growth was very stunted so she is practically naked. We hope that if she can walk, her feathers will have the chance to grow in properly.

Her adoptive mom Pancake (pictured with Gigi) is a wonderful momma hen but often gets frustrated because she can’t feed her baby and walk around with her. My mom was quoted around $600 for a surgery to fix Gigi’s leg. If she gets her surgery, she will be able to run around like a chicken should!

I know it’s “just a chicken” but Gigi has SO MUCH fight in her and clearly is determined to live despite her severe disability. Please consider helping her to improve her quality of life! Gigi not only wants to live; she wants to walk!
