Caressa, a single mom who refuses to give up!

Caressa is a single mom to Xander and Kali. She works hard to make a home for her family, but it seems every time she is about to take a step forward, she gets knocked back two.
Caressa pieces together as many jobs as she can, going from housekeeping to in-home care to food delivery driver—often all in the same day! She also spends time every week caring for her ex-father-in-law who just had his leg amputated.
Her four-year-old son, Xander, is bright, outgoing, loves pre-school and Bluey. (I mean, who doesn't? :) He has a congenital heart defect and asthma, which require Caressa to travel several hours away for doctor visits.
This Monday, Caressa FINALLY started her dream job with good pay and benefits. She cautiously took a deep breath and thought her family just might make it after all. Then, five days into the first week of her new job, Caressa's car broke down on the way to work and had to be towed—for the third time in five months! There is no money to fix the car or even get it back from the tow company.
Now Caressa has no car to get to her new job or take Xander to pre-school or even his heart doctors. She can't help her father-in-law adjust to his new reality as an amputee. She can't do any of the many things a mom does to take care of her family.
On Monday, Caressa thought she was starting over again, and she still can. With just a little help from those of us who have been there. And remember.
