Back in March I jammed my knuckle, or so I thought. After months of not getting any better, I finally gave in and went to the doctor in June only to discover after an MRI that I have actually ruptured a ligament in my hand where my middle finger is (which ironically seems appropriate). This injury will require surgery to repair. I am not able to lift, squeeze, push or pull with my right hand without significant pain and weakness. It’s effecting my everyday life, my income and quite honestly, my mental state too. It’s no fun having something hurt all the time. Just like most service industry workers, I have no health insurance. I’ve searched for programs to help and have been told I don’t qualify or there are no funds available. I can’t work to make the money to fix my hand but I can’t fix my hand because I can’t work. It’s a terrible cycle I don’t see a way out of for a long while. I’ve just about given up so I HUMBLY ask for help from my friends and family. The doctors portion is $1237.31, the facility and anesthesia is $2975.00. All money raised will go straight to these costs only. I thank you all so much.
