Hi everyone! My name is Shannon and I'm raising money to help fix my boy, Moose. Moose is my sweet 9 month old English Mastiff. For a while now, I feared something was wrong. Some said he's just growing into his very tall and long body. Others thought he was just having growing pains. Gut feelings pushed me to make an appointment to discuss w/ my vet my concerns. We set up an appointment to have him sedated and have images done, leaving the office w/ some meds for comfort. The results- Moose has very little socket curvature on his right side and none on his left, to the point he could easily dislocate his left hip entirely if he gets too wound up. He is pretty chill most times, most likely due to discomfort and limitations, so surgery needs to happen sooner than later for obvious quality of life reasons. Also while he is younger and "smaller". We left the vets office w/ anti-inflammatory/ pain meds and a list of references. I have called several places, some from the vets list and some other places suggested by those offering help. I've had discussions about FHO (femoral head ostectomy) and TPO (triple pelvic osteotomy). Tomorrow we have an appointment, close to Philly, for a surgical consult. It is heartbreaking that he won't be able to father babies of his own, as this was the plan. However, getting him fixed and a brighter future is the most important.

So, here's where I'm asking for help. And anyone that knows me, knows how head strong I am, and normally has the mentality of "I'll do it myself". But, this I can't. I need everyone's help. I'm selling things that I am willing/able to part with, but that won't make a dent in what I'll need.
