Five Year Old Addy's Big Girl Fight

This is 5 year old, Addy. She was recently diagnosed with a rare but serious condition called Syringomyelia with Chiari 1 malformation. This condition is causing her to have musculoskeletal issues; scoliosis resulting from the cerebrospinal fluid cysts that have formed in her spine; and it requires invasive brain surgery to try to relieve the pressure on her brain, which she is scheduled to undergo next week.

Addy comes from a very proud, hard-working family, and it took some convincing for them to allow me to do this fundraiser. Her father, Terry, and I were childhood friends, and as the sole supporter of his family of five (as well as caring for his elderly mother), living from paycheck-to-paycheck, the burden of 2020 has been especially difficult. Terry will be out of work for some time while his daughter undergoes treatment and recuperates (with prayers and good vibes, please) and not able to collect unemployment benefits as he is taking unpaid leave from his job.  Medical expenses are not certain. I am hoping to ease this family's burden and ensure Addy's brave and beautiful smile continues. Every little bit helps and would be wholeheartedly appreciated.
