Five Musical Tributes to Shain Alexander

My friend Shain died by suicide in May 2014. Commissioning and performing new flute music to celebrate his life is the best way I know how to pay tribute to someone whose quick, sarcastic wit and big heart made such an impact on those around him.

These five composers: Ayelet Rose Gottlieb, Daijana Wallace, Dominique Gagne, Michael Kaulkin, and Bob Pierzak.
Me! I've always viewed this project as essential to my grieving process.
What will the funds be used for:
Funds will be used for the cost of the commission (i.e. writing the music), as well as the rights to premiere and record the pieces. Funds may also be used to fulfill donor perks.
