I am a single mother of five children — two boys and three girls, ages 13 down to 3. Recently, I was diagnosed with a Chiari malformation and had to undergo major brain surgery. Right now, I am in recovery at the hospital. Before my surgery, I was working steadily and providing for my children, but due to the seriousness of my condition, I am currently on medical leave. My ability to return to work depends on how well and how quickly I recover. At the same time, we are facing homelessness. Balancing recovery from surgery, caring for five young children, and not having a stable place to live has put us in a very difficult situation. Despite these challenges, I am determined to heal and to provide stability and safety for my children. We are holding onto hope and working toward a better future, but right now we need support to get through this critical time.
