My amazing stepdaughter, Stephanie, recently lost her high school sweetheart and husband of many years. His death was heartbreaking and unexpected, leaving his lovely wife and five wonderful children behind. 

Soleal is in 8th grade this year and will not have her dad, Abdon, to watch her go on her first date or to her first school dance. Navi just got her braces off and her dad won't get to see her new dimpled smile or hear her play her instrument again. 
Mordecai, their oldest son, fears that without his father, they will have trouble paying the bills. The two youngest kids, Sumera and Nymah, are still in elementary school and will miss out on countless memories with their dad. Needless to say, on top of this pandemic, the family is torn apart without Abdon and will be for a very long time. 

Stephanie is left with a large family to feed as a single, widowed mother working at Sprouts. Amongst the painful grief of losing her soulmate and provider, she shouldn't have to worry about funeral expenses and bills at this time.
