Five Angels

June 12, 2020 marks the 10th year anniversary of the devastating house fire that claimed the life of Helen's Gebregiorgis' three children, niece and youngest sister. 

In honor of her family's great loss, Helen created a nonprofit organization called "Five Angels". Five Angels assists with providing quality care and medical services to families in her home country of Ethiopia/Tigray. The clinic is in a region that is in dire need of medical care, and Helen has been determined to provide them essential necessities to live.

Due to the worldwide pandemic, like many other countries, Helen has had a hard time maintaining PPE, a water well and due to the lack of available funding, she has had to limit the capacity of the hospital to less than 33%, during a time where the need for medical care is more critical than ever.  

Helen has remained selfless, brave and heroic in the face of heart wrenching adversity. It has been her personal goal to channel her pain into creating an effective program that focuses on giving back to our communities in memory of the loved ones she lost.
