Hi everyone, I’m fundraising….
To help a young footballer receive an operation he desperately requires.
Fitzy is 12 years old. A well known face on the local grassroots circuit. Fitzy has played for his local club since he was 6 and the past two years with the local district schools side as well.
During a recent inter school’s tournament Fitzy jumped over a challenge and landed awkwardly. After a trip to hospital Fitzy was given the devastating news that he had actually torn his ACL.
Anyone who knows football will tell you, it’s possibly one of the worst injuries you can get, at 12 years old, it’s unheard of.
To make matters worse, the NHS then dealt another blow as they explained they wouldn’t be operating on Fitzy. Being so young they have told the family they can’t operate until he’s 16. That’s four years away.
Fitzy’s Mum & Dad have now spent a small fortune seeing private Doctors for 15 minutes of consultations. Finally, they found a specialist able to help and with a procedure he believes will work….. however…
The operation has be quoted at £16,000
While Fitzy’s family move heaven and earth to find the funds, a few friends decided we’d all like to help! Fitzy’s mental health is really suffering so if there’s something we can do to help, we should ✌
If we can raise even a third of the total it’ll be a massive help to Fitzy and his family.
