Hello everyone, first of all, thank you for your time reading this and considering my campaign.
As most of you know, My wife and I run a small business called Fitz's Armaments where we make medieval garb, leather armor and accesories, and foam props. Much of our free time is spent making the products we sell and seeing to the day to day business responsibilities. This often leads to extended delivery times, limited availability of items, and stress for us. Having the right tool for a job helps to cut down on the time it takes to accomplish things, and Glowforge would be a heavenly addition to our crafting space. This tool would allow us to greatly increase our production of goods in clothing, leather, and foam by cutting things out very quickly that would normally take us hours to do. Our hands would be free to assemble, design, or finish pieces while these things were being engraved or cut. Plus, it would keep our hands from being sore after hours of work with scissors or cutting tools. Furthermore, this would blast the door wide open on custom orders, making them very nice, affordable, and much quicker to produce. This tool would even allow us to delve into other areas of custom crafting like metal and glass engraving, as well as many other options. The basic Glowforge engraves a 12x20" area.
Glowforge has a pre-order deal going on right now where they are offering the first of their products off the line at half the normal price. Whether we meet the goal and get the base model, or exceed the goal and get the advanced model for $4000, we will be getting the Glowforge for half price, which is a very significant savings.
Their first units will ship in December, and they will continue to fill preorders as they can. That means it could be several months or very soon that we recieve our Glowforge. As soon as it comes in, we will be working quickly to make and ship all of the rewards. Many of our rewards are upgraded versions of the products already available in our store that you can get with custom engraving by just ordering them now and waiting for our Glowforge to arrive. That is a pretty good deal. It ends on Friday October 23rd.
Feel free to donate as much or as little as you want. if you exceed the $2000 dollar goal, the extra will be used to purchase the materials for the rewards. If we near $4000 dollars, we will order a pro model of the Glowforge, capable of engraving or cutting surfaces 20" wide up to any length.
I welcome any questions! If youd like to donate, but have a different suggestion for rewards, let me know! If we are unable to make the goal, I will still send out the rewards, but will be unable to do the custom etching on them.
