Hello! My name is Jamon Harvell, and I’m excited to launch the "Fitness for Festive Joy" challenge to make this holiday season special for children in need. Fitness has always been a big part of my life, and I wanted to use that passion to give back in a meaningful way. By taking on physical challenges chosen by donors, I hope to raise funds to bring joy and support to kids this Christmas.
Every year, I look forward to the holiday season, but I know it can be a challenging time for families going through tough situations. This year, I want to help make sure that children, especially those facing difficult times, feel the magic of the season. With the funds we raise, we’ll be able to provide gifts and essentials for kids in the Greater Memphis Area, creating happy moments that can make a lasting impact.
I believe in the power of community, and I’m excited to invite you all to join me in this challenge. Whether it’s through a small donation or spreading the word, every bit of support helps bring smiles to these kids' faces and shows them that they deserve the same Christmas joy as any other child. Every donation made toward the Fitness For Festive Joy Challenge follows a tier-based system. Each tier includes specific exercises that I’ll complete based on your donation amount, with no need to mix and match. Simply select the tier that matches your donation, and I’ll take on all the exercises listed for that level!
Tier 1: $5 Donation
Push-Ups - 5 push-ups
Plank Hold - 10 seconds
Jumping Jacks - 5 jumping jacks
Burpees - 5 burpees
High Knees - 10 high knees
Tier 2: $10 Donation
Jump Rope - 1 minute
Squats - 5 squats
Sit-Ups - 10 sit-ups
Mountain Climbers - 5 mountain climbers
Tier 3: $15 Donation
Bicycle Crunches - 5 bicycle crunches
Wall Sit - 1 minute
Box Jumps - 5 box jumps
Tricep Dips - 5 tricep dips
Tier 4: $30 Donation
Handstand Hold - 15 seconds (wall support if needed)
Farmer’s Carry - 10 feet
Run/Walk - 1 mile
Kettlebell Swings - 5 kettlebell swings
Tier 5: $50 Donation
Pull-Ups - 5 pull-ups
Weighted Lunges - 10 lunges (with weights)
Medicine Ball Slams - 5 slams
Tier 6: $100 Donation
4-Mile Ruck March with 45 lbs
Explanation: A ruck march is a challenging endurance exercise where I walk a long distance carrying a weighted pack. In this case, I’ll complete a 4-mile march with a 45-pound pack on my back. This exercise builds strength, endurance, and mental toughness.
