Richard L Hildings aka Dickie, is known best as a Vinalhaven Fishermen with an unforgettable personality. On Saturday May 26, 2018 he suffered a massive stroke while out doing what he loves most, hauling. He was taken to Portland, Me hospital, and now at a rehabilitation hospital. He needs daily physical, occupational, and speech therapy for a minimal of three hours a day. He will remain at the rehabilitation hospital until he is able to regain strength, and recover enough to engage in every day life and needs. While he is recovering he is losing days of fishing, which is his primary income. Anyone who knows Dicky, and even ones who first come acquainted with him, know that he would do anything to help anyone. He has now reached a point where he needs love and support to help him in this rough time. Any amount can help keep him going.
