Hi Everyone!
It's that time of year again, and we are excited to begin our annual Thanksgiving Drive! For the past four years, the 15th Street Fisheries and Mission United with United Way have partnered together to feed hundreds of Veterans and their families! This could not have been done without all of your overwhelming support, and we are eternally grateful to be surrounded by so many generous people!
In the past, we have been able to donate between 150-200 baskets each Thanksgiving. Due to the growth of this amazing project, we have gained partnerships with Kaplan University and the Francis A. and Adeline M. Sines Memorial Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward. This year, Mission United has been challenged to donate 500 Veteran Thanksgiving baskets, and the Fisheries has gladly commited to making 300 of those baskets.
Mission United is a critical program supporting US military veterans and their families in Broward County by helping them re-acclimate to civilian life. Because of the continuous support Mission United gives to our Veteran community, we are commited to being an advocate toward their movement. We believe in Mission United because Veterans are not just our heroes, but they are our family, our friends, and our neighbors!
I know Thanksgiving is around the corner, but with your help, we will work together to make this Veterans Drive a success!!
