Fisher House Fire Rebuild & Restore

Donation protected
On May 26, 2020, the Fisher Family of 12 lost their home to a devastating house fire. Through the support of family, friends and the greater community, they have since been afforded shelter through a local hotel. But to end months of displacement and build a home that is safe and sufficient for their family remains a primary goal.

Please support their efforts in acquiring and renovating a fixer-upper home through the St. Louis' Land Reutilization Authority (LRA), or Land Bank.

Because finding temporary or long-term housing to accommodate a family of 12--nine of whom are school-age children-- has been such a feat, parents, Arah and Tony, have made plans to create a home of their own. With houses that are vacant and in disrepair around St. Louis City (like the full house pictured below), there is a unique opportunity for ownership, equity and a stable future for the Fisher Family

Acquiring and restoring an LRA home warrants financial resources, community support, in-kind donations and lots of helping hands. If you are interested in providing assistance in any of the aforementioned ways, please consider making a contribution, sharing this story or reaching out to fisherclan12 at gmail to connect with the village of folks who are making sure this family lands back on their feet!
