Lower Brule Youth Group Trip

Back in September, a youth group was created in Lower Brule, South Dakota. Each Wednesday, we work to not only build relationships with the youth who come, but are also striving to create Christ-followers. The best way for us to do this, is to put our faith to work.

This summer (July 17th-28th), we will be traveling to Slovakia for a youth group mission trip.  While on this trip, we will be working with a missionary, Roman Lacho, who is originally from Slovakia. Because of the connections he has, we will be able to work with churches and those churches' ministries throughout the ten days we will be there. Our youth will be performing programs, sharing their Native American culture, giving testimonies, and also working with the Gypsie or Romani people.

Most of the funds will need to be raised by the end of April in order to book plane tickets and get passports for the youth who are going. Other expenses we will have are for food and travel costs once we are in Slovakia.

This mission trip is crucial to our mission in Lower Brule with these youth. We know that faith without works is dead, and we can only talk so much about God, Jesus, and the Bible. Now we need to put what we have been learning into action. We are the hands and feet of Jesus, and serving others is the best way to show Christ's love to others.

Even if you can't donate financially, we still want you to participate in our journey and experience in any way you can! Because this is the first mission trip for our youth and most of our leaders, we need ideas, advice, tips, etc. on how to make this trip happen! Please feel free to contact us!
