Hi, my name is Evelyn, and I’m a first-generation college student getting ready to start an exciting new chapter of my life.

Ever since I was younger, long before high school, I’ve dreamed of going to college. Now that it’s finally happening, I’m beyond grateful and proud to be taking this step. I plan to major in graphic design because I’ve always loved creativity, and I hope to use my skills to build community, tell stories, and make a positive impact.

While I’ve worked hard to get here, I’m currently facing a financial gap that makes it difficult to fully prepare for my first year. I want to make sure I can start strong and stay focused on my education without constantly worrying about basic needs.

A laptop and software needed for my coursework

This journey means everything to me not just for myself, but for my family as well. Being the first in my family to go to college is something I carry with a lot of pride and responsibility.
