My name is Amayah Sullins, and I’m a junior at the University of Delaware. As a first-generation college student and one of five siblings, I’ve always carried my education on my own shoulders. I’ve worked every year of school, pushed myself academically, and found my purpose through research and public service.
This winter, I’ve been accepted into a competitive study abroad program in South Africa, where I’ll study public health, crime, and social justice. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will deepen my research, strengthen my future career in public policy and law, and allow me to learn directly from global communities. I’m fundraising because many financial resources for study abroad were paused or discontinued this year, leaving students like me without support.
With your help, I can take this next step toward my dreams of becoming a public servant, advocating for equity, and helping create real change. Any contribution—big or small—brings me closer to this opportunity. Thank you for believing in students like me.
