I'm starting this up for my next door neighbors on First Avenue in Broomall, Marple Township who lost everything they own, including their pets yesterday afternoon in a devastating house fire. It took several hours and the assistance of 9 different fire companies to finally contain the fire, and my neighbors walked away from what is now left of their home with only the clothes on their backs. I realize it is a challenging time to ask for money; the holiday season is upon us and we all have day to day bills and expenses, but put yourselves in their shoes for just a moment and try to imagine standing and watching as you lose everything you own including the roof over your head. They are kind, selfless, genuine good hearted people and sadly they were even supposed to take in and host a homeless family over Christmas, and now they have found themselves in the same exact awful tragic and unfortunate situation. Every little bit helps, even if it's just $1. If you can't afford to make a donation but are able to help in any other way, such as donating clothing, furniture, food - anything - or know any businesses who would be inclined to help out, it would be beyond greatly appreciated.
